Lightwave Filmworks

Lightwave Filmworks is primarily going to look like what, who and where you want filmed. Behind the lens it's tons of gear, or maybe just a little, or maybe visions require and budgets allow for specialized rentals and a crew. And most importantly, behind the lens is both science and art, preparation and improvisation.

My name is Jordan Kahn. I have 25 years of professional experience crafting media, contacts to build crews to match projects, experience working with agencies, directly with clients, as both part of and as a leader of crews and as a one-man band. I'm a well-traveled DP, producer, writer, editor and medium ok surfer. I'm a dedicated landscape gardener and 12,000-miles kind of a road-trip camper. Some places I worked long ago are Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the Exploratorium Museum and the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Awards for my work as a content creator include selection to the New York City Food Film Festival, first and second place national Telly Awards, two 2018 VISIT FLORIDA Flagler Awards Henry Awards, part of a 2021 VISIT FLORIDA Flagler Awards Best in Show campaign Henry Award, an American Advertising Federation regional gold for best cinematography, a Southeast Tourism Society best marketing Shining Example award, a Vimeo Staff Pick and top honors from the Sunshine State Awards, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Florida Press Club.

Anywhere in the world. That's where it gets done. Factories. Jungles. Oceans. Studios. Restaurants. City streets. Intensive Care Units. The swirling dust storm of a dirt-track raceway. Whatever you've got going on, I'm excited to hear about it and to prepare a crew and a shoot with a plan.

This work includes concept development, creative writing and direction, photography, casting, location scouting, permitting, production scheduling, graphic design, typography, animation, original or curated music scoring and licensing services, international electronic field production, video production, film crew management and cameraman and assistant cameraman services.
